Helping students explore professional opportunities in engineering is one of the core goals of the annual SEAS Alumni Mentoring program. The program pairs alumni mentors with first-year undergraduate engineering students for one year. Mentorship Program. The UC San Diego Physical Sciences Mentorship Program is a collaboration between the Division of Physical Sciences Student Success Center and the Alumni Office. The objective of the program is for mentors to support students in navigating the job search process during the COVID-19 pandemic. This professional development program is a chance to foster a mentoring relationship between the alumni and students. The program enables alumni to share their professional and personal experience and expertise with current students. The ECU Career Alumni Mentoring Program provides opportunities for former ECU students to share their wealth of professional experience with current second, third or fourth year students, helping in the transition from university to a professional world. Participants for the pilot mentoring program included four alumni mentor/mentee matches.

The Alumni-Student Mentor Program (ASMP) provides students of the ISE Department the opportunity to seek counsel and networking from highly successful and experienced alumni. The Matching Process After both the student and the mentor registration are complete, a committee composed of an ISE Department advisor, ISE advisory board alumnus and department staff will match students with mentors.

The Alumni-Student Mentoring Program was piloted at Reunion 2012 before being rolled out in Washington, D.C., in 2013. Based on the enthusiastic response of both alumni and student participants, a Chicago-based component was added in 2014. To participate, alumni and students must commit to a minimum of six months of contact.
